I don’t know how many times we have had requests for every other day visits for cats. As a professional Pet Sitter I know the risks involved in providing this type of sub-par care for cats. For this reason, For Your Spot does no offer every other day visits. You may be asking yourself, “what risks could there possibly be? It’s a cat. They can pretty much take care of themselves”.

Wrong!

A major concern when caring for cats is the risk of urinary tract problems. According to WebMD, “Untreated urinary problems can cause partial or complete obstruction of the urethra, preventing a cat from urinating. This is a medical emergency that can very quickly lead to kidney failure and/or rupture of the bladder, and can prove fatal if the obstruction is not relieved right away.”

This is why during our daily visits we make sure our feline friends have plenty of fresh water, a maintained meal schedule, clean litter boxes-noting their output to catch potential health issues early, and lots of love and interaction. Hands on interaction allows us to see any behavioral changes, lethargy, pain, and their overall condition.
